Walk into any good sports club and you can feel the energy before anyone says a word. The best sports brands bottle that feeling into their logo, their jerseys and their Instagram — and the font does a lot of the lifting.
Padel courts are opening everywhere, running clubs are the new social scene, and boutique gyms compete on vibe as much as equipment. If you’re branding one, here’s where we’d start.

Three directions for sport brands
Power: heavy and condensed sans
Blastic and Bandica hit hard on posters and gym walls. Kolaron is condensed, so it fits names and numbers on jerseys and schedules.
Heritage: sport and racing serifs
Serifs aren’t only for law firms. Ackuma Lamuente has a varsity, club-crest feel — perfect for tennis and padel clubs that want a little class. Neotuba brings motorsport speed.
Grit: brush and texture
Labour Brusher looks painted by hand — great for CrossFit boxes, boxing gyms and “no excuses” campaign posters.

Tips for sports branding
- Think in numbers. Jersey numbers, scores and court names need a font with strong digits — check them in the tester.
- Design for movement. Logos get printed on stretchy fabric and seen on moving bodies; keep shapes bold and simple.
- Make it shareable. Match tournament posters, story templates and merch so members post your brand for you.
Licensing for clubs
A club logo needs the Logo License. Merch you sell — tees, caps, towels — is covered by the Desktop License up to 1,000 pieces, and the Extended License beyond that. Promo videos on social media need the Monetized License. Not sure? Ask the license helper.
