Suggestions balance the white space between letters.
How the Kerning Workbench works
Every pair, one picture
The heatmap shows all capital, mixed and lowercase pairs. Red means the gap looks too loose, blue too tight, compared to HH, Hn or nn in the same font.
Measured, not guessed
Each letter's outline is measured row by row, and the white space between two letters is compared with the reference pair, including the kerning already in the font.
Export for your font editor
Accepted values export as a .fea feature file (paste into Glyphs, FontLab or RoboFont) or as a CSV for your team.
Your eyes decide
Suggestions are a starting point for proofing, not a replacement for it. Always check the result in real words, at text and display sizes.
