On social media you get about two seconds. In that time a viewer decides whether your video, carousel or thumbnail is worth stopping for — and they mostly decide on shape and contrast, not on words. That’s why the font you put over your content matters more than most creators think.
What works on a phone screen
- Heavy weights. Thin letters vanish over a moving video. Bold, black weights stay readable.
- Short words. Three to five words per screen, maximum.
- Consistency. The creators people remember use the same one or two fonts in every post, so their content is recognisable before you see the name.
Fonts we’d use for big, scroll-stopping text
- Blastic — ultra heavy and attention-grabbing. Perfect for thumbnail headlines like “I TRIED IT FOR 30 DAYS”.
- Erakoni — a black modern sans that looks sleek on business and educational content.
- Chunky — inflated and playful, great for lifestyle, food and kids’ content.

Fonts for a friendlier, softer look
- Roukoda — a fun rounded sans for tips, lists and carousels.
- Clevicute — round and approachable; very readable for longer captions on slides.
Fonts for a personal, handmade touch
- Jowarsi — a marker script that looks like a note you wrote by hand. Use it for one word that matters: “honest”, “finally”, “wow”.
- Dihyani — a signature for your name at the end of a carousel, like signing your work.
A simple creator type system
- Headline: one heavy font (Blastic, Erakoni or Chunky).
- Body: one rounded, readable sans (Clevicute or Roukoda).
- Accent: one handwritten font, for a single word per post.
Save them as brand fonts in your editing app so every post uses the same set. After a month, your content will start to look like you.
Do creators need a license?
Yes, if you earn from your content. Personal posts are fine with the free personal-use version, but monetized YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and sponsored posts need the Monetized License. Our license helper explains it without jargon, and you can try a font first with a free or $1 personal license — browse the free fonts.
